For 23 years, I have taught creative writing and literature courses at a number of community colleges and universities throughout the Southwest. And some time ago, I was a Lecturer-Creative Writing for three years at Northern Arizona University, leading fiction workshops at all levels. I loved every minute of that gig. These days, I’m an Adjunct Professor, teaching now and then, and I’m finding more time to write and write and write!
I am grateful for these honors:
An Arizona Commission on the Arts creative writing fellowship, a Best of the Web nominee, published in SmokeLong Quarterly: The Best of the First Ten Years, 2003-2013 anthology, two-time Best Small Fictions nominee, two-time Best of the Net nominee, a Pushcart Prize nominee, a Bath Flash Fiction Award 2019 Novella-in-Flash highly commended prize, an appearance on the 2019 Wigleaf Top 50 longlist, the position of Contributing Editor for Best Microfiction 2020, and the position of a fiction reader for Little Patuxent Review.
Also, I am grateful to have an abundance of writing published in online and print journals.
